LearnAble Study - Information and Consent

What this study is
LearnAble is running a four-week study to understand how people use LearnAble day to day, and how it supports independence and wellbeing. This is for our own learning and to make LearnAble better.

What you will do

If you are a participant: use LearnAble as part of your everyday life for four weeks
If you are a carer or support person: share how LearnAble fits into the support you provide
Answer short questions from time to time about how it is going
Share honest feedback, good or bad

What we collect

Your basic contact details, so we can support you
How LearnAble is used, and your answers about your experience and wellbeing

We collect the least amount of information we need. We do not need your health records for this study.

Thank you vouchers
Participants receive a $50 Amazon voucher at the start and a $100 Amazon voucher on finishing the four weeks. You get the vouchers for taking part. They do not depend on what you tell us. There are no right or wrong answers.

How we use your information

To learn how LearnAble helps, and to make it better
To create anonymised, grouped results that we may share with partners, to show the difference LearnAble makes.

We only ever share anonymised and grouped information. We never share your name or anything that identifies you or the person you support. We never share your raw answers.

Your choices

Taking part is your choice
You can stop at any time, without giving a reason
Stopping will not affect your access to LearnAble, your NDIS funding, or anything for the person you support
You can ask us what information we hold, and ask us to correct it

If you need support to decide
We can explain this in plain language, or with a support person. If someone is authorised to make decisions with you or for you, they can help or give consent on your behalf, while still listening to what you want.

Safety
Like all LearnAble users, safety monitoring still applies while the service is used. It keeps people safe and cannot be turned off. It is explained in our Safety and Safeguards Policy.

Your privacy
We store your information securely in Australia and handle it under our Privacy Policy and Australian privacy law.
